Phil Solomon House
In 1999, the Great Brook Valley Health Center offered Matthew 25 this single-family, two-bedroom ranch for free as long as Matthew 25 would move the house to a lot one quarter mile away. The house was moved on a flatbed truck to the lot which had been vacant since the Worcester tornado of 1953 tore through this neighborhood. The Great Brook Valley Health Center sold Matthew 25 the lot for $20,000. The home was dedicated in 2001 and named “Phil Solomon House” in memory of the beloved Worcester Technical High School carpentry teacher who passed away in October, 1999. Before his death, Phil Solomon supervised construction on the first three Matthew 25 houses.
